Sanjay Dutt, who was most recently seen in filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s ambitious period drama Panipat (2019), has a number of exciting projects lined up for release in 2020. One of his much-awaited films in 2020 is Sadak 2, which is a sequel to his 1991 musical hit Sadak.

The sequel has Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt reprising their roles from the original, while Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur join them as new cast members. What makes Sadak 2 a special project for everyone associated with it is the fact that it marks the directorial comeback of legendary filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt after a long gap of twenty years.

Sanjay Dutt also adds that it is justified to take a film like Sadak forward. However, he reveals that before coming onboard for Sadak 2, he had a special condition. He says that he told Mahesh Bhatt that he will star in the film only if he writes and directs it. Dutt asserts that he would have opted out of the film if Mahesh Bhatt would not have directed it. Produced under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios, Sadak 2 is set to arrive in theatres on July 10, 2020 release.
