Rishi, who was away from India to receive medical treatment in New York, will be next seen in Smeep Kang-directorial film starring Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Joshi, Omkar Kapoor, and Lillete Dubey.

The news was out when film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to unveil the film poster. The film will be talking about two boys (Sunny and Omkar) who move to Mauritius to pursue higher education. They enjoy their college time so much that neither of them wants to return home.

Rishi will be essaying the role of Omkar’s dad who visits them unexpectedly and is shocked by their lifestyle. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Smeep doffed his hat to Rishi. The director said the senior actor perfectly fits the bill with the character he is seeking.

For those unversed, Rishi Kapoor wrapped up his shooting schedule for Jhootha Kahin Ka last August before he left for the US for the treatment.

Earlier, the actor also went on record to announce that he is in remission and cancer-free. He shared that he has to have a bone-marrow transplant before coming back to the country. Speaking of his plan of coming back home, Kapoor told Mumbai Mirror,
