Ranveer Singh, who was last seen in “Gully Boy”, wrapped up his next “83” a couple of weeks ago. He will soon start shooting for “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” and period drama “Takht”.

Ranveer Singh is one of the most hard-working actors in Bollywood. He can go to any length when it comes to sliding into the skin of his characters, and his terrific performances in such movies as Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018) are a testimony to his dedication.

Last seen in the Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy (2019), Ranveer Singh has his plate full with a number of exciting projects.

The Simmba (2018) actor will soon start shooting for Yash Raj Films’ Jayeshbhai Jordaar. He will be romancing Arjun Reddy (2017) fame Shalini Pandey in the film. The actor is looking at wrapping that film at breakneck speed. Written and directed by Divyang Thakkar, the film features Ranveer Singh in the role of a Gujarati man.

His next project will be Dharma Productions’ much-ambitious period drama Takht, to be directed by Karan Johar himself. According to a source, Ranveer Singh met Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar on Tuesday to discuss the schedules and prepare for his character of Dara Shikoh in Takht. The actor does not have much time in hand to start preparing for Takht because the film is slated to hit the shooting floor in the end of February. Before starting shooting for Takht, Ranveer needs some time to get out of the fun character that he is playing in Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

The source goes on to add that the one good thing about Takht is that there is not too much experimentation or time needed to grow more facial hair for Singh’s character, because Dara also had a small moustache for the longest time in his life. In addition to Ranveer Singh, Takht also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
