Priyanka Chopra Talks About The Challenges Of Being A Director. “TSIP” Makes Her Feel Overwhelmed?

Priyanka Chopra has backed several movies like Ventilator, Pahuna: The Little Visitors and most recently her Bollywood comeback The Sky Is Pink.

Bollywood and Hollywood A-list Priyanka Chopra made her grand debut in Bollywood with the film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in the year 2003. She delivered remarkable performances in the film like Aitraaz, Fashion, 7 Khoon Maaf, Barfi and Mary Kom.

Not just being a talented actress, the Desi Girl is also a producer. The star has backed several movies like Ventilator, Pahuna: The Little Visitors and most recently her Bollywood comeback The Sky Is Pink.

In an interview with IANS, she was asked about the challenges of directing a film.

"It's something that makes me nervous because it's a lot of responsibility. But slowly, I have moved from acting to production and hopefully, I'll make that (directing films) transition too someday," said her.

For those who are unversed, The Sky Is Pink marked her second collaboration with a Bollywood female director. During the interview, she also shares her viewpoint on the gender of a filmmaker.

"I don't think gender defines anything. Women and men are capable or as incapable as their merit makes them. Working with Shonali was my honour. I think she is an incredible filmmaker and her gender doesn't define that," PeeCee said.

Film front, The Sky Is Pink is set to hit the screens on 11 October 2019. It has turned out to be one of the most anticipated projects of the year.

Not just because of the appearance of Priyanka itself, but also the major controversies raging over the decision to quit Bollywood of actress Zaira Wasim make the film grabbing eyeballs.

When Zaira went on record to announce she was quitting the industry and said it interferes with her religion, she outright cooked up a storm on social media.
