Karan Johar rang in his 47th birthday a day back, and everyone’s favorite filmmaker was showered with wishes from the industry fraternity from Rishi Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Sonali Bendre to his “students” Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday.

Other than Bollywood friends, the filmmaker-host Karan also received so much warm from people in different fields. The one whose wish made a lot of netizens confused is none other than New York-based fashion designer Prabal Gurung. Taking to his Instagram handle, Prabal wished the blue-eyed boy Karan by saying “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. Happy birthday KJo.”

Needless to say, his birthday wish has led to a storm of controversies about a gay relationship. Responding to Prabal’s post, the Koffee with Karan host wrote, “Control yourself bhaiya!” to which the designer replied, “I do love you my bro.”

On the work front, Karan is now occupied with producing his new venture Good News starring big shots Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. He also has several films lined up including Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt - Ranbir Kapoor - starrer Brahmastra and Shershaah starring Sidharth Malhotra.

Other than such movies, Karan also stepped into shoes of a director as he is helming the hotly-awaited film Takht where features an all-star ensemble cast comprising of Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and newcomer Janhvi Kapoor.
