Post "Kabir Singh" Success, Shahid Kapoor “Raises His Price”, Demands Rs 40 Crore For His Next?

Shahid Kapoor is a man of the hour with several projects lined up. Now, reports had it that the actor will next star in the Telugu-language hit Jersey remake.

It’s not exaggerated to say Shahid Kapoor has recently taken over the whole B-town with his newest outing, Kabir Singh. The film received an overwhelming response from the viewers and turned out to be a record-breaking blockbuster. The film is considered as Shahid's career-best performance and has managed to make it to the top 10 highest-grossing movies of all time.

Post the success of Kabir Singh; Shahid is a man of the hour with several projects lined up. Now, reports had it that the actor will be next staring in the Telugu-language hit Jersey remake. However, what raised a storm of speculations is that Shahid has reportedly demanded Rs 40 crore for this film which is, of course, a whopping amount.

Reports even suggested the rights of producing the film. To this, the remake initially rolled out under Karan Johar’s production house. Though reports then contrary to that state as Allu Aravind and Dil Raju will invest in this project under the respective banners of Geeta Arts and Sri Venkateswara.

In a social media post, Shahid Kapoor opened up on the success of his film. He said,
