Pooja Bhatt Lambastes Faizal Siddiqui’s TikTok Video Promoting Acid Attack

Pooja Bhatt has taken to her Twitter handle to slam TikTok influencer Faizal Siddiqui and his video which has gone viral on the Internet for all the wrong reasons. The TikToker has been accused of promoting violence against women with his controversial video, whose content revolves around acid attacks on women.

Just like millions of people out there, the video has not gone down well with actress-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt either. She has written on her Twitter handle that TikTok needs to look into the issue and take the strictest action against Faizal Siddiqui, along with taking the video down from their platform.

Pooja Bhatt wrote in her tweet that what on earth is wrong with people. She called the video depraved. Questioning TikTok India, she asked how can they allow this kind of content on their platform. She added that the man who made the video needs to be taken to task. For the woman in the video, Pooja Bhatt said that does she even realise what immense harm she is causing by participating in it.

The said video has irked many people. The National Commission for Women has even filed a complaint to TikTok India, asking that the video must be taken down at the earliest. The chairperson has said that she will take the matter up with the police as well.

As Faizal saw the matter escalating, he took to his Instagram handle and wrote that his intention was never to hurt anyone in any capacity. He added that as a social media influencer, he realises his responsibility and apologises to anyone who was offended by the video.

On the work front, Pooja Bhatt will next be seen in the much-awaited film Sadak 2. The movie is a sequel to her 1991 musical hit Sadak. Apart from her, the sequel also stars Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and her half-sister Alia Bhatt. Her father Mahesh Bhatt is making his directorial comeback after a long gap of two decades with Sadak 2.
