Madhuri Dixit Reveals Why She And Sanjay Dutt Are Calling Each Other "Sir" And "Ma'am"

Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt have reunited on screen after a gap of two decades for "Kalank" which also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur.

After over two decades, fans of the iconic Bollywood couple, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit have the chance to see them sharing the screen space again in Karan Johar’s Kalank. While they are not paring opposite each other in the film, their reunion has still drawn a lot of attention at the teaser launch for Kalank.

In case you don’t remember, dancing diva Madhuri Dixit and the 'Khalnayak of Bollywood' Sanjay Dutt became one of the most-loved on-screen couples in the 1990s after starring together in tons of films including Saajan, Khatron Ke Khiladi, Ilaaka, Kanoon Apna Apna, Thanedaar and Mahaanta.

During the event, aside from noticing their formal and cordial praises for each other, another thing that grabbed everyone’s attention is the way the two have begun calling each other ma’am and sir. When answering the questions about their feeling of working together again, Sanjay addressed Madhuri as ‘ma’am’ and Madhuri also used ‘sir’ to call him.

Also, Sanjay Dutt showered Madhuri with praise for her acting, stating that she is ‘a great actor’ and he hopes to work with her again.

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the period drama ‘Kalank’ is expected to be a dream project of filmmaker-producer Karan Johar which was conceptualized by himself and his father Yash about fifteen years ago. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur and is all set to release on 17th April.
