Luv Ranjan Shelves Film With Ajay Devgn & Ranbir Kapoor

Luv Ranjan, who is known for helming such successful films as Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015), and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2019), was all set to join hands with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. He announced the project in 2018.

Later, he also signed Deepika Padukone to play the female lead in it, according to reports. Fans were indeed excited to see Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together on the silver screen.

However, it seems the film has been shelved and fans may have to wait longer to see the three stars together on screen. A source tells a publication that Ajay Devgn is not doing the film with Luv Ranjan for whatever reasons. The film is not happening any time soon. However, the source goes on to add that Luv Ranjan has instead planned another film with Ranbir and Deepika in the lead. It will be a quirky twisted love story, something none of the two stars has ever attempted before in their career.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is busy promoting his ambitious film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Also featuring Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, the period drama is slated to hit the silver screen on 10^th January 2020. Deepika Padukone is also awaiting the release of her much-awaited film Chhapaak, helmed by Meghna Gulzar. Her film also releases on 10^th January 2020 and will lock horns with Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, is busy shooting for his hugely anticipated fantasy drama Brahmastra with Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy. Brahmastra may hit screens in the second half of 2020.
