Kareena Kapoor Khan on Monday dismissed the reports claiming that she will be contesting for Lok Sabha elections for Congress from Bhopal.

Hindi film actress Kareena Kapoor said that entering politics is not the path she really wants and she would instead focus on acting.

Kareena is the second wife of veteran actor Saif Ali Khan, the son of late Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Congress had fielded Mr. Pataudi in Bhopal in the 1991 LS elections, but he later lost to BJP candidate Sushil Chandra Verma by over one lakh votes.

The Congress leader believes that Kareena's name would bring about a significant change in the voting preferences of the youth. They feel that Kareena contesting for elections from Bhopal would translate into votes for Congress. However, it seems that demand from the Congress is difficult to achieve.

The BJP leader also mocked at opponent's saying, "it proves that the Congress has no leader to take on the BJP in Bhopal."
