Kangana Ranaut Take Digs At Alia Bhatt And Taapsee Pannu Simultaneously. Details Inside

Kangana Ranaut is no stranger to controversial statements and this time, she once again found herself at the center of attention as she slams other Bollywood actresses Alia Bhatt and Taapsee Pannu. The actress is leaving no stone unturned for her upcoming release Panga where she will essay the role of a railway employee and a Kabaddi player named Jaya.

During the trailer launch, Kangana opened up on the gender gap in the film industry. The star said she has heard some actresses justifying the pay disparity.

She said,

Speculations are rife that such successful women in the industry that Kangana mentioned are Alia Bhatt, Taapsee Pannu, and Sonakshi Sinha. Discussing the unequal pay, Taapsee Pannu, in a recent interview, said that she couldn’t say that as she should have the same salary as male colleagues when her co-stars were Akshay Kumar in Mission Mangal, Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2 and Amitabh Bachchan in Badla. Explaining for this, the actress went on to say that she will not draw as many as audiences to the theater as they will.

Meanwhile, the Razzi star Alia Bhatt who is also considered an established name in the industry opened up on the same. On being paid lesser than her contemporary Varun Dhawan, the actress admitted that as she couldn’t bring the same number of cine-goers as her male co-stars do, she cannot expect to get an equal pay like her solo films.

Speaking of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film, it’s helmed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The film is set to release on 24 January next year according to an Instagram post. Other than Kangana Ranaut, the film also features Richa Chadda, Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta.
