When asked about the comparison with Bollywood’s iconic Jodi SRK-Kajol, Kalank actor Varun Dhawan said, "It's a huge comparison".

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s on-screen chemistry is hands down something we cannot resist. They succeeded in setting the big screen on fire, and there are no two ways about it. The nation’s most-loved Jodi has delivered three hits so far, Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Their paring, needless to say, is usually compared to legendary on-screen couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

However, the star also said that he and Alia Bhatt are one of the Bollywood’s most successful pairs and that stands to reason why they have been receiving many offers.

The actor went on to doff his hat to SRK and Kajol and affirm that they can never replace their position in the film industry in the next five years.

Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the film Kalank also features Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. Jointly produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is slated to hit the screens on 17 April 2019.
