Omkar Kapoor talks about the experience of working in web series and films. He also discusses his excitement working with Sunny Leone on the sets.

Omkar Kapoor will be seen next in his upcoming release Jhoota Kahin Ka. After a successful hit, Pyaar Ka Punchnama star has chosen Smeep Kang's comedy film starring Rishi Kapoor, Sunny Singh, Nimisha Mehta, and Jimmy Shergill. Sunny Leone will be seen in a music video in a mermaid avatar. Omkar Kapoor has worked as a child artist in Judwaa, Mela, and Hero No.1.

The role of Omkar Kapoor a.k.a Thakur of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 gained him applause from all quarters. In a candid conversation with STARBIZ correspondent Imran Fazal, the actor spoke about his role and the experience to work with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.

We have seen the trailer of your film Jhoota Kahin Ka, since your debut in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 how have you grown as an actor?

Frankly speaking, acting has been my passion and an actor grows when he keeps learning new things. Even I believe in the same thing. I have learned that you give your performance which is liked by the audience. The critics so far have applauded my acting skills and have been supportive throughout.

The experience in working films along with your co-stars helps you understand the dynamics of acting and this industry. If you have noticed one thing, the entire team worked professionally. We were at Mauritius for more than one month and it made us like one family. The producers were supportive enough to give us the confidence to work more hard for the film.

You have also worked for various web series, do you think that digital platform develops an actor and gives more screen time?

When you work for web series, it is a different challenge. Similarly, in films, it takes an artist to narrate the story in a short time. The acting skills for web series and films differ according to the requirement. With every new project, an actor grows and expresses the acting skills.

It is a very different platform altogether. I personally believe that whenever I get an opportunity I work hard and express myself.

In Jhoota Kahin Ka, Rishi Kapoor plays the role of your father, was it difficult to work with him on the sets?

Rishi Sir has been an inspiration to all of us. He is so joyful and happy every time that it makes us look boring. An actor like him gives us confidence. I always used to observe him and we used to practice our dialogues, for him it was flawless to perform.

He still is a child by heart and when you have Rishi sir playing the role of a father, it just becomes more easy to be on sets. Always approachable and kind to help, never behaved rudely with the young generation but always remained calm and composed while delivering his role.

Director Smeep Kang debut as a Bollywood director with you, was there any awkward moments which you can share?

Smeep Kang has previously directed Punjabi films and is a known filmmaker in regional language. Believe me, most of the pranks and laughs came from his side. He taught us to lie in the film (laughs). There were moments in which we were just left on the sets when no one was around.

All of us lied to us about the time of the shoot and we were like sab kidr gaye. But overall, Smeep has been a fantastic director and very easy to work with.

You will also be seen dancing alongside Sunny Leone, did that excite you during the shoot in Mauritius?

My experience while working with  Sunny Leone was a different moment altogether. When I saw her in the mermaid outfit, I was like that the outfit being so heavy, she managed to perform with showing any signs of struggle.

She is a rockstar and always down to earth person. Excitement level will always be high while working with such super co-stars.
