Emraan Hashmi was most recently seen in supernatural thriller “The Body”, which failed to click with the audience. His next releases are “Chehre”, “Mumbai Saga” and “Ezra”.

Emraan Hashmi is not in the best phase of his career, as most of his films are failing miserably at the box-office. Gone are the days when his presence in a film would ensure solid opening at the ticket window. In 2019, Emraan Hashmi was seen in Why Cheat India and most recently in The Body. Both films turned out to be non-starters at the box-office and fell flat, incurring massive losses to all the stakeholders involved.

Emraan Hashmi, who is known for delivering huge hits like Murder (2004), Zeher (2005) and Gangster (2006), has not been a part of an out-and-out commercial entertainer in some time. However, his next film with hit filmmaker Sanjay Gupta might turn the tide for the actor. Emraan Hashmi has collaborated with Gupta for an out-and-out commercial gangster drama titled Mumbai Saga. The film also stars John Abraham, Suniel Shetty and Kajal Agarwal in important roles.

Talking about Mumbai Saga, Emraan Hashmi told a popular newswire that he is looking forward to doing a commercial film again and that Mumbai Saga is a massy film, the kind of film that she has not done for the longest time in his career.

In 2019, the actor also made his debut in the digital space. He starred in the Netflix original Bard of Blood and received positive feedback for his performance on the series. Bard of Blood was produced by superstar Shah Rukh Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment.

Speaking about making unconventional choices with his work, Hashmi said that it is important to be just completely dedicated and zoned in on what one is doing. He said that he always tries to have a novel experience with each film he does.

Apart from Mumbai Saga, Emraan Hashmi will also be seen in mystery thriller Chehre and supernatural drama Ezra in 2019.
