As this is the final day of 2019 as well as the end of the decade 2010-2019, we will bring to you a full list of National Award-winning movies of the decade.

The end of the year is also a time for Bollywood to see the achievements during the past time and expect the award for all the efforts. As one of the best honors everyone in the tinsel town looks forward, the National Film Awards is much awaited. The punctuation of the decade reminds us of all the National Award-winning movies in the last ten years. So as a time to remember, let’s get a time travel back to the first year of that decade to date!

2010 – Dabangg

Salman Khan - Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg is one of the most successful Bollywood franchises throughout the time with the honor of the first film at the National Film Award. It won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment in the 2010 ceremony. Under Abhinav Kashyap’s direction, Salman Khan is the actor getting along with three parts of the series.

2011 – Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai

The Tamil mystery comedy took the inspiration from the same name story by Bhaskar Sakthi. Suseenthiran’s Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai was honored as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 2011 National Film Award. The film starred Appukutty, Saranya Mohan, and Advaitha in the lead roles.

2012 – Vicky Donor & Ustad Hotel

The renowned award was shared between Vicky Donor and Ustad Hotel at the 60th National Film Award. Shoojit Sircar’s directorial had Ayushmann Khurrana, Annu Kapoor, and Yami Gautam in the main cast. Meanwhile, Anwar Rasheed’s Malayalam film featured Dulquer Salmaan, Thilakan, and Nithya Menen in important roles.

2013 – Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Priyanka Chopra starrer film bagged the next prestigious award in its collection at the 62nd National Film Award. Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the biopic based on the real-life of Indian Olympic boxer Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom. Running the box office fight, Priyanka’s film won a million mark domestically and also bagged a name over the world.

2015 – Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the next name in the National Award-winning movies of the decade after becoming a blockbuster at the box office with a whopping grossing of Rs 333 crore in its lifetime. Kabir Khan’s film was led by Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Harshaali Malhotra, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Also, since then, Salman Khan was called with a beloved nickname as the Bhaijaan of Bollywood.

2016 – Sathamanam Bhavati

The successful epic action movie featured South superstar Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, and Tamannaah in the lead roles. During its lifetime, the film collected Rs 1,810 crore at the box office to become the highest-grossing Indian movie at the U.S. market.

2018 – Badhaai Ho

And the last film enlisted in the complete list of the National Award-winning movies of the decade was Badhaai Ho. Being awarded as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment earlier this year’s ceremony, Amit Sharma’s directorial has ruled out the buzz for a long time before. The film opted for Ayushmann Khurrana, Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra to be the main actors. At the time heading the box office collection, it earned Rs 221.44 crore in the bank.
