Deepika Padukone can easily be called red carpet royalty. Her first look at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 made sure to turn heads.

Deepika Padukone can easily be called red carpet royalty. After her hot pink outing last year, she had a lot to keep up to in terms of drama and boy, did she live up to it this year again!  Deepika's first look for this year’s Cannes Film Festival is too hot to handle.

For the 72nd Palais des Festivals Cannes, Deepika Padukone looks like a monochrome princess. The cream-colored full-sleeves gown, designed by Peter Dundas, featured long off-white trail, a plunging neckline, thigh-high slit and a structural black bow in the front. This outfit definitely was born for Deepika.

Deepika Padukone landed in Cannes earlier in the day and was spotted in an oversized white shirt worn and jeans, which she paired with a denim jacket. She completed her look with oversized glasses, glossy scarlet heels, and tote bag. Later, DeePee also shared a picture on her Instagram stories that showed her getting ready for the big night.
Last year, Deepika Padukone wore a show-stopping pink Ashi Studio gown for Cannes.
This year, Deepika Padukone will be the first of three Indian ambassadors for L'Oreal on the red carpet - she will precede Cannes veterans Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. On the work front, Deepika, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat is currently busy shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak. The actress will be playing acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the flick, co-starring Vikrant Massey.
