Ayushmann Khurrana To Star Gay Love Story In Aanand L Rai's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Ayushmann Khurrana will be next seen in Aanand L. Rai's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan that handles the subject of homosexuality.

Ayushmann Khurrana has once again proved that he is one of the most versatile actors of his generation as the actor reportedly teamed up with producer-director Aanand L Rai for a gay love story titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, a sequel to the 2017 hit film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.

In case you don’t remember, Ayushmann Khurrana previously worked with producer-director Aanand L Rai in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in which he played the role of a young man battling erectile dysfunction. After the big success of the movie, the makers have decided to turn it into a franchise which mainly deals with taboo subjects in the most light-hearted manner.

According to media reports, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, which will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya, revolves around how a traditional family comes to terms with the fact that their son is homosexual. The film is expected to start shooting in the last week of August and the entire cast has yet to reveal.

Producer-director Aanand L Rai later confirmed the news. He said in a statement to Mumbai Mirror,
