Ananya Panday Confirmed To Pair Opposite Vijay Deverakonda In “Fighter”

Ananya Panday made her acting debut with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2 (2019) and won millions of hearts with her gorgeous looks and great acting chops. She proved her mettle again by delivering a power-packed performance in T-Series Films and BR Studios’ Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019). Her next projects include Khali Peeli with Ishan Khatter and an untitled film with Deepika Padukone and Gully Boy (2019) star Siddhant Chaturvedi.

The latest we hear that Ananya Panday has been locked to star alongside heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda in an upcoming film called Fighter. Deverakonda, who became a national phenomenon after the huge success of his Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017), will be making his Bollywood debut with Fighter, which is a Pan-India film to be made in Hindi and all popular South Indian languages.

Fighter will be directed by well-known South Indian filmmaker Puri Jagannath, while Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar will co-produce it along with Puri Jagannath and Charmee Kaur. The movie will be high on action and hence, Vijay Deverakonda has been training hard to achieve the perfect look and show his chiselled body on celluloid. The actor will be seen romancing Karan Johar’s blue-eyed girl Ananya Panday in the film.

Interestingly, Johar’s another protégée, Janhvi Kapoor, was also in the race to bag the lead role in Fighter, but she could not adjust her dates despite seriously wanting to be part of the film and lost out the role to Ananya Panday. The newcomer did not waste any time and agreed to join the cast immediately. Just like Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday is also a fan Vijay Deverakonda. It will be really interesting to see two hot and talented actors sizzle the silver screen in Fighter.
