Amitabh Bachchan On His Battle With Tuberculosis: "I’m Still Surviving On 25% Of My Liver"

Amitabh Bachchan revealed that 75% of his liver has been totally damaged, and that he did not know he had been suffering from tuberculosis for eight years.

Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan recently opened up about his battle with Tuberculosis, saying that he is surviving on just 25% of his liver and he is a tuberculosis survivor.

During a health event, the 76-year-old star made a shocking revelation that he had no idea he was suffering from tuberculosis for 8 years and also encouraged people to go for regular health check-ups so that the disease can be diagnosed and cured timely.

Amitabh Bachchan, who has been a part of many health campaigns such as Polio, Hepatitis B, diabetes and Hepatitis B, also disclosed his health condition for the first time.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Brahmastra. Touted as Ayan Mukerji's most ambitious trilogy, Brahmastra is a supernatural romantic film, also starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia, and Nagarjuna.

The film is slated to hit the cinema around Christmas. Plus, he also has Jhund, Chehre and Gulabo Sitabo in his kitty.
