Alia Bhatt Doesn’t Need A Meaty Character, Says She Wants A Challenging One

Alia, who will be seen in the much-awaited film Kalank, recently spoke at great length about the roles she is drawn to be an actress.

The award-winning actress Alia Bhatt has delivered many memorable and versatile performances over the years which won the hearts of millions of audiences; there are no two ways about it. From being Shanaya Singhania in her first-hand Bollywood film Student of The Year (2012), then Sehmat Khan in the film Raazi (2018) and most-recently Safeena Firdausi in Gully Boy, Alia proved her acting mettle in every of her role. It’s not an overstatement to say 2019 will a year of Alia as the actress will star in back-to-back film projects.

Alia, who will be seen in the much-awaited film Kalank, recently spoke at great length about the roles she is drawn to be an actress. The 26-year-old star revealed that she doesn’t want to play a meaty character, though a challenging one.

The Gully Boy star told Grazia Magazine,

On the work front, her upcoming film, Kalank is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar and also features Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.

Before it, Alia will star opposite her beau Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji - directorial Brahmastra which is also the couple’s first collaboration. Other than those films, Alia will also share the screen space with superstar Salman Khan in the film Inshallah.
