Akshay Kumar Turned Down His Hollywood Offers And Here's The Reason Why!

The Bollywood superstar revealed the reason why he has never made it to Hollywood despite several offers!

From Padman, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, to Kesari, all of Akshay Kumar's recent blockbusters have proved that he is the real Khiladi of Bollywood. Having been working in the industry for nearly 3 decades and become one of the leading actors of the B-town, the superstar, however, hasn’t made it to Hollywood yet. In fact, he was offered a few projects but turned them down and here is the reason why.

He Is Happy Doing Films In Bollywood

Making his appearance in a recent interview, the Kerasi star revealed that he was interested in making his Hollywood debut. However, all of the projects he has been offered wasn’t good and effective enough for the actor to show off his talents. Akshay also added that he was happy doing Bollywood film at the moment. 

"I wouldn’t say I’ve not been offered Hollywood films, but whatever came wasn’t big enough or that great. And I’m very happy doing films in Bollywood,"  said the actor.

He Will Be Next Seen In A Sci-fi Drama

Following the massive success of his last film Kerasi, Bollywood superstar is all set for the release of his upcoming film Mission Mangal next month on August 15. Helmed by director Jahan Shakti, the sci-fi drama is co-produced by Akshay Kumar, Aruna Bhatia, Anil Naidu, and R. Balki. Apart from the superstar, the film also features Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi in the lead roles.

It is based on the real-life story of a  group of scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation and their Mars Orbiter Mission which made more accessible to explore Mars.

Apart from Missio Mangal, Akshay Kumar also has a lot of films in his pipeline including Good News and Housefull 4 which are going to release at the end of this year while Sooryavanshi and Sooryavanshi are slated to hit the theatres next year in 2020.
