Akshay Kumar lately has shared a scene from Kesari to fans as a gift on Lohri festival. The upcoming film of Aksay is the story about the historical Saragarhi Battle.

Akshay Kumar lately has shared a scene from Kesari to fans as a gift on Lohri festival. Kesari, the upcoming film of Akshay is the story about the historical Saragarhi Battle. The black-and-white picture shows Havildar Isher Singh (Akshay Kumar) and his unit, the 36th Sikh Regiment of Saragarhi. Talking about the photo, he showed respects to those high-spirited heroes of Saragarhi and sent Lohri wishes to fans on behalf of the cast.

The Story Of Sikh Regiment And Their Bravery

Basing on the historical Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari is the story about Sikh Regiment and how they fought against Afghan tribesmen. The battle happened at Saragarhi in September 12th 1897. Being attacked by 10,000 Afghans, the Sikh Regiment with only 21 soldiers fought to death resiliently. Their bravery has made the battle one of the greatest last-stands in history.

In addition to that, the actor earlier has shared another photo from the film on Saragarhi day with himself wearing army uniform standing among a group of men.

Akshay Would Never Change The Film For Anything

In addition to that, the actor also talks about the filming process in which, he had to wear the heaviest beard and turban ever in his life. Therefore, he decided to shave his head to make it more comfortable. As a person who never likes wigs or prosthetics, Akshay found the movie quite demanding. In facts, to have a good shape in the avatar, he had to sweat and fight. However, the actor also said that it worths the effort that he will never change it for anything else. 

With Anurag Singh as the director,  Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles, Kesari release will be on Halo 2019.
