Aamir Khan Waited For Eight Years To Acquire Rights To Make “Lal Singh Chaddha”

Aamir Khan will be seen sporting several looks in the much-awaited movie. Buzz has it that Kareena Kapoor Khan is reuniting with the actor after seven years.

Aamir Khan, who last starred in Yash Raj Films’ Thugs of Hindostan (2019), is gearing up for his next Lal Singh Chaddha. The superstar announced the movie on his birthday in March. And he has been working on its pre-production ever since. Not only fans but also Khan himself is psyched up about the upcoming venture.

But do you know that Aamir Khan waited for eight long years to acquire the rights to remake the film? Lal Singh Chaddha, as we all know, is an official remake of the 1994 Tom Hank starrer Forrest Gump. Khan has officially bought the rights of the original movie to remake it in Hindi.

In Lal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan will be seen sporting several looks as the story of the film spans across decades.

When asked if he would like to go a little easy on depicting the look of his character in the film, the actor said,

Talking about the female lead, we hear that Lal Singh Chaddha brings together Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan once again. The two actors last shared the screen space in the Reema Kagti-directed Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012).

Written by Atul Kulkarni, the movie will be directed by Advait Chandan. Aamir Khan is co-producing the film in association with Viacom18 Studios.

Lal Singh Chaddha is poised for its theatrical release during Christmas 2020.
